23rd July 2011 We were fortunate to Archbishop Hart with us for the 5:30 mass. He spent time before mass with the Parish Pastoral Council discussing various items. In particular he stressed his extreme satisfaction with the progress in St Anthony’s parish. He reflected upon an earlier recent visit where he met with Fr. Fabian and travelled and viewed the extent of St Anthony’s parish. He marvelled at the growth and spread of housing, especially to the south and south-east.

The discussion with the council members included the great sense of community, warmess and invitation and that he perceived every time he visitied. In addition some time was spent discussing the types of methods that might be employed to raise St Anthony’s visibility in the wider communiy. All agreed that special continuous effort needs to be made to keep the spirit alive and vibrant. It would be gratifying if  the younger younger members of the community  found consistent opportunities for consistent attendance.
