St. Anthony’s Parish Pastoral Council Structure is made up of four Quadrants

  • Service/Community Quadrant,
  • Pastoral Care Quadrant,
  • Worship Quadrant,
  • Faith Formation Quadrant

plus four Ex-Officios.

Who is in the Parish Pastoral Council?

The Parish Pastoral Council consists of all Quadrant Representatives from each of the Quadrants and the four Ex-Officio members.

What is the role of the Parish Pastoral Council?

The Parish Pastoral Council is a representative body looking after the collective (current and future) needs of the Parish and at all times being pastorally caring of all members of the Parish. The relationship to the Parish Priest is advisory.

What do Quadrant Representatives do?

Quadrant Representatives communicate with all the groups/committees within their respective quadrant as and when required; and address issues/queries that need to be addressed at the Parish Pastoral Council meetings from their respective groups/committees or from any parishioner.

How often does the Parish Pastoral Council meet?

The Parish Pastoral Council meets on the first Thursday of every month.

How do we know what was discussed at the meeting?

Once the minutes of the Parish Pastoral Council meeting are passed by the Council the following month, they are posted at the back of the Church on the Parish Pastoral Council Notice board.

If I have a query or a suggestion for the Parish and would like it to be brought up at the Parish Pastoral Council meeting, who do I speak to?

Any queries or suggestions can be put forward to any of the Council members.

How do I become a member of the Parish Pastoral Council?

If you wish to be a member of the Council, you need to be fully committed and take on the role as Quadrant Representative. For more details, please speak to any of the Council members. The members of the council are listed in the weekly bulletin.
